About Elio Rojas
Elio Rojas is a boxer from the Dominican Republic who has quickly made his way up the featherweight ranks. Rojas turned professional in 2004 and took the sport by storm, winning his first 19 bouts in a row. After Rojas lost his first bout in 2007, he continued to impress the boxing world with his aggressive style of boxing. In 2009, Rojas had a bout against reigning WBC Featherweight Champion Takahiro Ao for a chance to take the Title for himself. The bout went all the way but by the end Rojas had won the fight by unanimous decision, thus crowning him the WBC Featherweight Champion. After an injury in 2010 that kept him out of the ring, Rojas attempted to defend his Title in 2012 against Jhonny Gonzalez, a fight he would lose by unanimous decision thus relinquishing the Titel. Through his 10 year career, Rojas has amassed a 23-2-0 record as he looks to take back the Featherweight Championship.
