About Edson Buddle
Edson Buddle began his professional soccer career in 2000 with the Long Island Rough Riders before being selected in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. In limited time with the Crew, Buddle showed what he could do as a striker and after 4 seasons and short stints with the New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC finally found a starting role with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Under guidance of soccer legends David Beckham and Landon Donovan, Buddle developed into one of the Leagues best strikers with a breakout year in 2010 where he led the MLS in goals despite missing several games with the U.S. National Team. Buddle gave European soccer a try and after an unsuccessful attempt came back to the Galaxy but he was never the same player as he was before. Buddles last appearance was with the Colorado Rapids in 2013 and has had multiple injuries plague what looked like a promising career. Buddle has 3 international goals to accompany a career with 126 club goals.
