About Brad Guzan
Brad Guzan is a native of Evergreen Park, Illinois and played his prep soccer at Providence Catholic High School. In 2003 he signed on to play at the University of South Carolina and earned NCAA Second Team All-American honors as a sophomore in 2004. After college he went on to play for the Chicago Fire Reserves in the USL Premier Development League before landing a spot with Generation Adidas as the second overall pick in the 2005 MLS Draft. Guzan played three seasons with Chivas USA from 2005 to 2008 before signing on to play with Aston Villa after the 2008 season. Since that time he has remained with Aston Villa, but played one season on loan to Hull City in 2011. Guzan has been a solid and consistent member of the United States National Team since 2006, and has made 33 appearances at the goalkeeper position for both the senior and U23 USA teams.
