Diego Chara Biography

Diego Chara is a star midfielder for the Portland Timbers. Chara has played for the Timbers since 2011 and has over 200 matches under his belt. He helped Portland to the best record in the Western Conference in 2013 and 2017 and to an MLS Cup in 2015. Chara was also named an MLS All-Star for the first time in 2019. He originally signed as the Timbers first designated player. Prior to that, he built his pro career playing for clubs in his native Colombia. Chara has also suited up four times for the Columbian national team.
