About Derian Hatcher
Derian Hatcher played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League as a defenceman for the Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers. He is best known for his 10-year stint with the Dallas Stars in which he scored 71 goals, recorded 223 assists and captained the Stars 1999 Stanley Cup Championship team. During his long and storied career he scored 80 goals and posted 251 assists for a total of 331 points. After his career came to an end in 2008 he continued in the league as a development coach with the Philadelphia Flyers. Two years later his career was honored with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Since that time he has opened a bar and restaurant wit his brother called Hatchy’s, which thrives in Utica, Michigan.
