About DeMar DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan was selected by the Raptors with the 9th overall pick in 2009 after starring at the University of Southern California. As a prep hoopster he earned McDonald’s All-American honors after averaging 29.2 points per game as a senior and leading Compton High School to consecutive Moore League Championships. At USC he was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team and earned Pac-10 Tournament MVP honors after leading the Trojans to Pac-10 Tournament Championship in 2009. After one season at USC he declared for the NBA Draft and joined the Raptors. During his five years in a Raptors uniform he has averaged 16.7 points per game and been a consistent performer each year. In 2014 he had a career year, scoring 22.7 points per game and adding 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, all career highs. His performance in 2014 earned him his first ever NBA AllStar game selection.
