About DeAndre Jordan
Center DeAndre Jordan was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers after a standout career at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining the Aggies he enjoyed a successful prep career in which he averaged 26.1 points and 15.2 rebounds during his senior year, which earned him Parade All-American honors and a ranking as the No. 8 high school player in country. During his freshman season at Texas A&M in 2007 he earned a spot on the Big-12 All-Rookie team after averaging 7.9 points and 6 rebounds. After the season he declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft and joined the Clippers. Jordan had a distinguished 12-year career in Los Angeles, averaging double-digit points and rebounds per game the last five seasons. He led the NBA in rebounding in 2014 and 2015. Jordan was an All-Star in 2017, a three-time All-NBA pick and two-time All-Defensive First Team member. For five years in a row, Jordan led the league in field goal percentage. After contributing to some of the greatest teams in Clippers history, he joined the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 and finished the season with the New York Knicks. Jordan signed with the crosstown Brooklyn Nets in free agency in 2019.
