David Lloyd Biography

David Lloyd uses his sense of humor and sports knowledge to entertain millions every day on ESPN.  As one of the mid day anchors for their flag ship program, SportsCenter, Lloyd often teams up with some of the most popular sports anchors in the business to deliver highlights and information to sports fans across the spectrum.  A native of Westport, Connecticut, he began his career in sports broadcasting after earning his bachelors degree in international relations at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.  Upon earning his degree he headed to WMAZ in Macon, Georgia as an intern and eventually earned a spot as a sports anchor at KTXL in Sacramento, California.  Prior to signing a contract to join the ESPN crew in 1997 he served as an anchor for WCIV in Charleston, South Carolina and KGTV in San Diego, California and briefly pursued a career in advertising in New York City in 1986.
