About David Leadbetter
David Leadbetter briefly played on the European and South African pro golf tours before finding his niche as a coach. Having always been interested in the techniques, psychology and mechanics of the sport, he gained expert knowledge in all those areas and began coaching some of the most successful golfers in the world. In the 1980’s he gained notoriety when he rebuilt the golf swing of PGA Tour player Nick Faldo and helped him win six major championships. Since that time he has served as the coach for such notable players as Greg Norman, Michelle Wie, Ernie Els and Charles Howell III. In 2005 Leadbetter was ranked as the second best golf coach of all-time on Golf Digest’s list of the 50 Greatest Golf Teachers. Over the course of his career he has published several instructional golf books and made several dvd’s teaching the game of golf. He’s also become a valuable brand ambassador for such notable companies as Callaway, Joseph A. Bank Clothiers, and Rolex.
