About Casey Martin
Casey Martin is a professional golfer as well as the current men’s head golf coach at the University of Oregon. Martin attended Stanford University where he was a three-time all-Pac-10 and he was a member of the NCAA Champions team in 1994. In 1993, Martin won the Sahalee Players Championship and two years later, he turned professional. Martin won the Nike Tour in 1998; this would be his only professional win. In 1999, Martin finished 14th on the Nike Tour Money List and this helped him secure a spot on the PGA Tour. On June 4, 2012, Martin qualified for the 2012 U.S. Open and he won a sectional at Emerald Valley Golf Club. Martin’s coaching career began in 2006 when he worked as a volunteer assistant for the University of Oregon and in May 2006, he was named the head coach of the University of Oregon’s men’s golf team.
