About Cody Allen
Cody Allen retired in 2021 as the all-time saves leader for the Cleveland Indians. After originally debuting with the Indians in 2012, Allen became the team's closer in 2014. In 2015, he led the American League with 58 games finished. He also posted a 2.99 ERA and 34 saves. Allen followed that performance up with 32 saves and a 2.51 ERA as Cleveland won the American League Central. He had a meteoric rise through the minor leagues after being a 23rd round pick of the Indians in the 2011 MLB Draft. Allen played college baseball at High Point University.
