About Chris Drury
Chris Drury found nothing but success in anything he did throughout his entire career. Starting at the age of 13, Drurys baseball team won the 1989 Little League World Series which resulted in him throwing out the first pitch to that years World Series as well as meet the President. Drury then attended Boston University to play collegiate hockey where he led Boston to a National Championship while taking home the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAAs top ice hockey player. In 1989, Drury began his NHL with the Colorado Avalanche where he immediately showed his talents, recording 44 points and winning the Calder Memorial Trophy as Rookie of the Year. Drury played for 4 seasons with the Avalanche, his best season coming in 2002 where he scored 65 points and helped the team win the Stanley Cup. Drurys next 9 seasons were spent with 3 teams, serving as captain for 2 of them (Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers). Drury was also a member of the U.S. National Team, competing in 3 Olympic Games and winning 2 silver medals.
