About Chanelle Price
Chanelle Price is a middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run. Price attended Easton Area High School and in 2007, she won the Nike High School Nationals title in the 800 m race. At 16 years old, Price ran at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships where she finished seventh. Price attended the University of Tennessee where she was offered the Wayne Basler women’s athletic scholarship. Price competed for the Tennessee Volunteers cross-country running and track and field teams. Price placed sixth at the Southeastern Conference indoor championship for the 800 m race. Price won the title at the 2009 NCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship as well as achieving a world indoor record for the distance medley relay. During her first professional year, Price ran mostly in the United States. Price participated in the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2014 and she brought home the gold medal.
