About Carrie Tollefson
Carrie Tollefson is a middle distance runner. Prior to college, Tollefson was a 13- time State Champion with eight wins in track and five in cross country Tollefson attended Villanova University where she ran collegiately and won the 1997 NCAA Cross Country Championships along with the 1999 NCAA Outdoor and Indoor 3000 meters and Outdoor 5000 meters. Tollefson became the first person in NCAA history to win both the 3K and 5K titles. Tollefson participated in the US Olympic Trials in 2004 where she won the 1500 meters. She competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics and made it to the semifinals in the 1500 meters. Track and Field News ranked her number 1 nationally in 2004. In 2006, Tollefson won the 4K race at the USA Cross Country Championships. That same year, she was voted the fourth Most Beautiful Athlete in the World by Sports Illustrated. Tollefson is currently the Global Reebok Running Ambassador and she hosts a weekly online show, C Tolle Run.
