Camila Giorgi Biography

Camila Giorgi is one of the leading Italian tennis players in the world today. Giorgi won her first ITF event in 2009. In 2012. she cracked the WTA top 100 rankings for the first time after making it to the fourth round of Wimbledon. Two years later, Giorgi got her first WTA tournament win at the Rosmalen Open. The biggest triumphs of her career to date are a quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon in 2018 and victory at the 2021 National Bank Open. In the later event, Giorgi knocked off then-world number one ranked Karolina Pliskova. She has also defeated former world number one's Carolina Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka.
