About Buster Olney
Buster Olney is baseball’s inside man. As a columnist for ESPN: The Magazine and ESPN.com he is the top baseball insider in the game and is trusted to deliver the top breaking major league baseball stories as they happen. Each day he hosts ESPN’s Baseball Tonight podcast and is a regular contributor on their popular Baseball Tonight television show. Olney was a baseball fan growing up in Randolph Center, Vermont and continued to follow and write about the game during his college days at Vanderbilt University. After earning his college degree he began to cover several minor league teams for the Nashville Banner, San Diego Union-Tribune, Baltimore Sun and Times. In 1997 he won his first AP award and went on to publish his first book in 2004 entitled “The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty”. In 2010 he followed that up with a second book called “How Lucky You Can Be: The Story of Coach Don Meyer”.
