About Bryan Bickell
Bryan Bickell is an Orono, Ontario native and began his pro hockey career after being selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2004 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Upon being drafted he joined the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League and then signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Blackhawks in 2006. In 2007 he was called up to the Blackhawks and scored his first goal against the Detroit Red Wings. Three years after his debut he helped lead the Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup title in 2010. He remained an instrumental part of the Blackhawks success and helped them to a second Stanley Cup victory in 2013. He was forced to retire in 2017 following a multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
