About Brad Underwood
Brad Underwood has been tasked with putting Oklahoma State basketball back on the map. He got the job following a tremendous three-year run as the head coach at Stephen F. Austin. The Lumberjacks made the NCAA Tournament all three years and swept the Southland Conference regular season and tournament championships. Underwood also was a three-time Southland Conference Coach of the Year. Overall, he finished 89-14 at Stephen F. Austin with an astounding 53-1 record in Southland games. In his final NCAA Tournament, the 14 seed Lumberjacks upset 3 seed West Virginia in the opening round before falling to Notre Dame. Prior to arriving at Stephen F. Austin, Underwood was an assistant coach at South Carolina for a year and his alma mater Kansas State for six seasons. Early in his coaching career, he had stints as a head coach at Dodge City Community College and Daytona Beach Community College with a ten-year run as an assistant at Western Illinois nestled in between.
