About Brad Norton
Brad Norton played in the NHL for seven seasons from 2001 to 2007 with the Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings. North was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and started his pro hockey career in the IHL with t he Detroit Vipers in 1997 after being selected with the 215th overall pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. Prior to heading to the Vipers he played four years at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and was one of their standout performers on defense. After three years in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs and another year with the Hersey Bears he made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings. Over the course of his career he was a steady player, scoring three goals and eight assists for a total of 11 points in 124 games while also playing shutdown defense and serving as a leader both on and off the ice.
