About Bernie Collins
Bernie Collins is a Formula One engineer, race strategist, and television analyst. She earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009 before joining McLaren as a graduate trainee. Collins advanced to performance engineer and worked full-time with 2009 World Champion Jenson Button from 2014. In 2015, she moved to Force India as a performance and strategy engineer for Nico Hülkenberg and later Sergio Pérez. She remained with the team through its transitions to Racing Point and Aston Martin, ultimately becoming Head of Race Strategy from around 2020 to 2022. After leaving the pit wall following the 2021/2022 seasons, Collins became a strategy analyst and pundit for F1 TV and Sky Sports F1. She is the author of "How to Win a Grand Prix" (2024) and has been named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.
