About Jamie McMurray
Jamie McMurray burst onto the NASCAR scene in 2002, scoring a win in his second career Sprint Cup Series event. He got his start in racing as a young kid on the race kart circuit and rose through the ranks, eventually winning a world kart championship. He eventually graduated to the NASCAR Truck Series and gained notoriety through an aggressive and skilled racing style. In 2003 he ran his first full NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season with Chip Ganassi Racing and was named the series’ Rookie of the year. 2006 proved to be a big year for McMurray, as he scored big wins at both Talladega and Daytona. He’d follow that up with a huge 2010 season in which he captured both the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400. McMurray is one of just three men to win both races in the same year. Overall, he won seven Cup Series races before retiring after the 2019 Daytons 500. Off the track he is a gifted and caring philanthropist, who raises money for autism-related research charities through the Jamie McMurray Foundation. McMurray is also an analyst for Fox Sports.
