About Ben Utecht
Ben Utecht played five seasons in the National Football League with the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals from 2004 to 2009. Utecht joined the Colts as an amateur free agent signee out of the University of Minnesota, where he starred at tight end as a four-year starter. After signing with the Colts he spent three seasons in Indianapolis before retiring with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009. During his time with the Colts he had a standout year in 2006, catching 37 passes for 377 yards in route to helping his team to a Super Bowl title. He followed that up with 31 catches for 364 yards in 2007. Utecht retired in 2009 with 87 catches for 923 yards and three touchdowns. After his retirement from football he turned his focus to music and has since recorded several albums, including a successful Christmas album in 2012. In honor of his success in the music industry he was featured on the cover of the April 2012 issue of Making the Music Magazine.
