About Ben Leber
Ben Leber played nine seasons in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers from 2002 to 2005, Minnesota Vikings from 2006 to 2010 and St. Louis Rams in 2011. Prior to heading to the NFL he starred as a linebacker at Kansas State University. Heading into his freshman season with the Wildcats he was a highly touted prep running back, having rushed for 2,754 yards and been named a Parade and USA Today High School All-American while playing for Vermillion High School in South Dakota. However, he transitioned to linebacker and college and continued to flourish. During his college career he notched 216 tackles, 46 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks in route to earning consecutive All-Big 12 honors and All-American honors in 2002. After earning his degree in business management he was selected in the 3rd round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Over the course of his career he amassed 496 tackles, 24 sacks and five interceptions and was one of the most consistent defensive players in the league.
