About Andy Cole
Andy Cole is a former English professional soccer player best known as a prolific striker for Manchester United and the Premier League’s fourth-highest goalscorer with 187 goals. Cole was raised in a Jamaican-British family and began his career at Arsenal, debuting in 1990. He gained prominence after joining Newcastle United in 1993, scoring 68 goals in 84 appearances, including a Premier League record 34 goals in 1993–94. Manchester United signed him in 1995.
At United, Cole was a key figure in their 90s dominance, winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, a League Cup, and the 1999 UEFA Champions League. He scored 121 goals in 275 appearances, forming a lethal partnership with Dwight Yorke. Cole also played for Blackburn Rovers (winning the 2002 League Cup), Fulham, Manchester City, and others, retiring in 2008 after stints with Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.
Post-retirement, Cole has coached at Manchester United’s academy, worked as a pundit for Sky Sports, and served as an ambassador for the club.
