Alex DeBrincat Biography

Alex DeBrincat is a mainstay and alternate captain for the Chicago Blackhawks. DeBrincat made his first NHL All-Star Team in 2022. The U.S.-born product originally made his Chicago debut in 2017 after a strong three-year stretch in the OHL. He capped his time in juniors with the Erie Otters by winning the Red Tilson Trophy as the league's best player in 2017. DeBrincat set a franchise record for goals and points in his first season and ended up as the Otters all-time leading goal scorer. He also set an OHL record for most points by an American player over his career. The Blackhawks originally selected DeBrincat in the second round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
