A.J. Bouye Biography

A.J. Bouye is a cornerback for the Carolina Panthers. He was signed by the Panthers after being traded to the Broncos during the 2020 season. He had spent two successful seasons playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was traded as the franchise was looking to rebuild. Bouye built himself into becoming one of the NFL’s elite corners during the first four years of his career with the Houston Texans. The Texans originally signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2013. Bouye became a full-time starter in 2016 and registered a team-high 16 pass defenses. He first emerged during his second season when he tied for the team lead with three interceptions. Bouye played college football at the University of Central Florida. He played in 43 games and made 21 starts during his career. As a senior, Bouye had 53 tackles and three interceptions. He was named to the All-Conference USA second-team.
