About Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey was the eighth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He had a prolific career at Stanford University. He was a two-time first-team All-Pac 12 selection. McCaffrey was one of the top players in college football as a sophomore. He was the runner-up in Heisman Trophy voting after rushing for over 2,000 yards. Overall, McCaffrey racked up 3,864 all-purpose yards on the way to consensus All-American honors and being named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. He was also the Associated Press Player of the Year. That all-purpose yardage total shattered the NCAA single-season record. McCaffrey also notched a Rose Bowl-recorrd 368 all-purpose yards in the final game of the season. He grew up in Colorado and was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in the state. McCaffrey set high school career records in the state for total touchdowns, touchdown receptions and all-purpose yards. He comes from an athletic family and his father Ed played in the NFL from 1991-2003.
