Olympic Diver David Boudia Speaks at Lafayette Area Sports Med Symposium

Olympic diver David Boudia has been a popular speaker in his home state of Indiana since his success this summer. On Wednesday, he was in West Lafayette as a speaker at the Lafayette Area Sports Media Symposium.

The 27th annual event stands to educate individuals who work with middle and high school athletes. They had a record attendance of 135 people.

The symposium was sponsored by Franciscan Health Sports Medicine. Those in attendance loved hearing Boudia's story.

In 2012, Boudia won the Olympic gold medal in the 10-meter platform dive and a bronze in the men's synchronized 10-meter platform. He came back this summer and won a bronze and silver in the two events respectively.

Boudia originally made his Olympic debut in 2008 in both dives. He is also a five-time medalist at the World Championships.

Since 2005, Boudia has been a member of the U.S. National Diving Team. Last year, he released an autobiography about his life, "Greater Than Gold."
