Zack Greinke

Zack Greinke has been one of the top pitchers in baseball for over a decade.  Greinke is a six-time All-Star, five-time Gold Glove winner and has led baseball in ERA twice. In 2009, he won the American League Cy Young with the Kansas City Royals after finishing with a 16-8 record and 2.16 ERA.  Greinke spent his first seven seasons in Kansas City and was a first-round pick of the franchise in 2002.  Early in his career, he battled social anxiety disorder and almost quit baseball.  He has overcome that obstacle and gone on to pitch for five other organizations, twice finishing runner-up for the Cy Young since his 2009 win. What garners him the most respect among other pitchers is his attention to detail and extensive preparation routine.  Greinke originally broke onto the scene as a star at Apopka High School in the Orlando, Florida area, earning Gatorade National Player of the Year honors in 2002.
