About Trent Johnson
Trent Johnson has made a career for himself out of coaching basketball at the collegiate level. Following his playing days in college at Boise State, Trent began his coaching career as the head coach of the Boise High School basketball team for 5 years. Johnson then made the jump to the college level where he became an assistant with several different programs for over a decade. In this time he was able to learn from his peers and begin to mold his own style as a coach. In 1999 Trent got his first opportunity at becoming a head coach at the collegiate level for the University of Nevada. In his tenure there he led the Wolf Pack to never before seen success including the schools first ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004 with a 25-9 record. Trent has since coached at Stanford, LSU, and TCU where he has led his teams to multiple regular season championships and he himself was named the Pac-10 Coach of the Year in 2008.
