Travis Browne Biography

Travis Browne is a mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the heavyweight division. At the age of 26 Travis was introduced to Brazilian jiu-jitsu for the first time and he followed that up by beginning training in boxing and had his first fight less than a year later. While Travis began his MMA career in 2009 with a record of 9-0, he signed with the UFC in early 2010 where he made his debut and won via a TKO. In his short career to date he has amassed a record of 17 wins and only 2 losses. That kind of record has led to Browne being awarded with several honors in the Ultimate Fighting Championship including having the Knockout of the Night 4 times, and the Submission of the Night once. In 2013 Travis also was honored by being named the 2013 Breakthrough Fighter of the Year by the World MMA Awards.
