About Tom Ricketts
Tom Ricketts has guided the Chicago Cubs through a franchise resurgence. In 2009, he led a bid to purchase the club. Ricketts serves as chairman of the Cubs. He has longtime been a fan of the franchise, going back to his college days when he lived across the street from Wrigley Field. Two years after purchasing the team, Ricketts hired two-time World Series-winning general manager Theo Epstein as President of Baseball Operations. In 2015, the Cubs realized the fruits of the front office's labor by winning 97 games and advancing to the National League Championship Series for the first time in 12 years. Ricketts has also had a successful business career outside of baseball. He is the CEO of Incapital LLC., a company he founded in 1999. Ricketts is a director of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation as well.
