The Rock

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a part time WWE wrestler and actor. Before his time in theWWE, Johnson played football for the University of Miami, winning the 1991 NationalChampionship. After a failed attempt at a professional football career, Johnson was signed tothe WWF (Later the WWE) in 1996, debuting as Rocky Maivia, but eventuallychanging his ringname to “The Rock.” Johnson would go on to have a legendary career as The Rock, instantlybecoming a fan favorite and winning multiple championships. His catch phrases could be heardbeing echoed throughout each stadium he performed in, electrifying the crowd as “The PeoplesChamp.” In 2002, Johnson left the WWE to focus on his film career, but would occasionallyreturn off and on throughout the 2000’s. On 2011, The Rock returned for a showdown withJohn Cena, a dream match for WWE fans. After a year of hype, The Rock defeated Cena atWrestleMania XXVIII. Almost a year later at the 2013 Royal Rumble, The Rock defeated CMPunk to win the WWE Championship, eventually losing the title to John Cena is his last match atWrestleMania. It remains to be seen if The Rock will return to the WWE again, but if he does,he will certainly keep the audience as entertained as ever, and will definitely be a WWE Hall ofFamer in the near future.
