About Tom Brunansky
Tom Brunansky, also known as “Bruno”, played 14 seasons in the big leagues with six different teams from 1981 to 1994. He began his career with the California Angels in 1981 and went on to play for the Minnesota Twins from 1982 to 1988, helping them to a World Series title in 1987 before making his way to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1988, the Boston Red Sox in 1990, the Milwaukee Brewers in 1993 and then finishing his career as a member of the Red Sox in 1994. In 1985 he earned AllStar honors after hitting 32 homeruns and driving in 85 runs as a member of the Twins. After his retirement he pursued coaching and headed up Poway High School in California for six years. However, in 2010 the Twins came calling and hired him as the new hitting coach in the minor league system. In just two years the Twins noticed his innate ability to get results and brought him up to the big club as their teams new hitting coach.
