About Todd Butler
When Todd Butler played collegiately at McNeese State and then finished his career at the University of Oklahoma before playing briefly in the minor leagues with the Cleveland Indians organization. After hanging up his cleats in 1988 he returned to McNeese State in 1991 to pursue his Masters degree as a Graduate Assistant, which sparked what would become a successfully long career in collegiate coaching. Over the next decade he served two stints with McNeese State as a full-time assistant and also served two stints as an assistant at the University of Alabama with a stop at Blinn College along the way. In 2006 he took over as the head assistant coach at the University of Arkansas, which set the stage for him to be hired as the head coach at Whichita State University in 2014. During his first season heading up the Shockers he led them to a 31-28 season with a 13-8 conference record.
