About Terje Hakonsen
Terje Hakonsen is a professional snowboarder from Norway. He is best known for hisdomination of professional snowboarding during the 1990’s where he won multiple events suchas the ISF World Championship Half Pipe, The European Half Pipe, and the Innsbruck Air andStyle Contest. Hakonsen also owns the world record for highest air, reaching 9.8 meters duringa qualifying event in 2007. Hakonsen is known for being a true innovator for the sport ofprofessional snowboarding, ranging from his immenseknowledge of tricks and his ability to ridevarious terrains. Hakonsen also was the main proponent behind the start of the Artic Challenge,which was the brain child of Hakonsen and Daniel Franck. This event was created in order toput more emphasis on the snowboarders, rather than TV executives and sponsors.
