Suzy Favor Hamilton is an accomplished three-time Olympian in track and field. She participated in the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Games. Favor Hamilton was a star early in her career, winning three national junior titles in high school and setting a U.S. junior world record in the 1500 meters. Her amazing prep career led to an induction into the US National High School Sports Hall of Fame and recognition as one of the top 100 High School Athletes of the Century. Favor Hamilton continued her track career at the University of Wisconsin, winning a record nine NCAA championships and 32 Big Ten titles. Some of the accolades she collected during her college career included the Honda Cup, Babe Zaharias Award and a silver medal at the 1989 World University Games. The Big 10 Network later named her the greatest female athlete in conference history. Since her track career, Favor Hamilton has devoted her life to speak out about mental health.
