About Brianna Rollins
Brianna Rollins captured the hearts of America with her gold medal win at the 2016 Olympics in the 100 meter hurdles. She topped a historic podium that featured her Team USA commrades Kristi Castlin and Nia Ali in second and third respectively. It was the first time that one country has swept the medal stand in the 100 meter hurdles. Leading up to the games, Rollins won silver in the 60 m hurdles at the World Indoor Championships. Shealso capturedgold in the 100 m hurdles at the 2013 World Championships. At that year's USA Track and Field Championships, Rollins set a new American record in the event. Her first time trying to make the Olympic team came at the 2012 U.S. Trials. Rollins ran collegiately at Clemson University and won three NCAA titles. She set an NCAA record in the 100 m hurdles and turned pro following the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Rollins may have gained her competitve edge from her upbringing with six younger brothers in Miami, Florida.
