About Jackie Joyner-Kersee
Jackie Joyner-Kersee is a graduate of UCLA, where she was a decorated All-American in both track and field and basketball. During her decorated olympic career she earned six Olympic medals, including three gold, and set several world records. Named “The Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century” by Sports Illustrated, Joyner-Kersee is revered in the athletic world not only for her athleticism but also for how she lives her life.
In 1988, she established the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, which has provided youth, adults and families with the resources they need to improve their quality of life for the last 25 years. Over that course of time her foundation has provided these resources to several areas, with special attention directed towards her native East St. Louis.
Joyner-Kersee currently enjoys spending time with her family and devotes her life to helping those less fortunate than her. She is a testament to hard work and the epitome of professionalism. As a speaker and brand ambassador she is highly respected and trusted due to her actions over the course of her career.
