About Susie Wheldon
Susie Wheldon is the picture of perseverance in real life. Wheldon was widowed when her husband, Dan, a two-time Indianapolis 500 champion, was killed at an event in Las Vegas in 2011. She was left to raise their two boys, Sebastian and Oliver. The story of the Wheldons is chronicled in the documentary The Lionheart, which was featured at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023. Susie has continued to carry on Dan's legacy while nurturing the racing ambitions of her sons.
