About Sugar Shane Mosley
Shane Mosley, most commonly known by his ring name “Sugar”, is a professional boxing legacy. Fighting professionally for twenty years (1993-2013), Mosley has held world titles in three weight divisions and was voted the best fighter in the world in both 2000 and 2001 for The Ring, an American boxing magazine. Mosley was born in California in 1971 and grew up watching his dad fight, who became his trainer when he turned professional. Mosley’s big break came in 1997 when he defeated lightweight champ Philip Holiday. From there, he went on to earn a total of 47 wins throughout his professional boxing career and earned the nickname “Sugar”, a name that will forever go down in the books as one of the best professional boxers there ever was.
