About Stuart Appleby
Born in Cohuna, Victoria and growing up on a dairy farm, Stuart Appleby became a professional golfer in 1992. Getting swings in only between farm chores throughout his childhood, Appleby was eager to spread his wings and make a name for himself. He commenced his career on the PGA Tour of Australasia and has since never looked back. Since 1992, Appleby has achieved an honorable number of seventeen professional wins. He has won three times on the PGA Tour of Australasia and nine times on the PGA Tour, which he joined in 1996. Appleby received the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year in 2010, becoming the fifth player in history to shoot a 59 in an official PGA Tour event. Appleby currently lives in Orlando, Florida, with his wife and four children. He continues to impress people as a player and as a man, as he took in and fathered his friend’s son that was killed in a plane crash in 1999 and is currently the ambassador for Golf Australia’s Crown Lager Social Golf Club and established an organization named the Stuart Appleby Junior Golf.
