Steven Lopez Biography

Steven Lopez is a competitor for the United States Olympic Men’s Taekwondo team. Lopez holds the prestigious title of being the only Olympian to win three medals in taekwondo. Lopez won these medals in three consecutive Olympic Games; a gold in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, another gold in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and a bronze in the 2008 Beijing Games. Lopez’s three siblings are all USA National Team Members in Taekwondo, as well. The Lopez’s father taught them taekwondo in their garage at very early ages. It certainly paid off, as Steve and his two younger siblings all represented the U.S. at the Olympic Games in 2008, becoming the first sibling trio since 1904 on the same Olympic team. In addition to his impressive taekwondo career, Lopez has also participated The Choice, a dating game show on Fox, and has appeared in People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People.
