About Steve Rushin
Steve Rushin has long been regarded as one of the top sportswriters in America. Rushin began working for Sports Illustrated in 1988. When he was 25 years old, he became the youngest senior writer on staff. Rushin's weekly column, Air & Space, ran from 1998-2007. He left SI after that, but returned in a contributing role in 2010. Rushin has also written several books. He was named the National Sportswriter of the Year in 2005 and has been a four-time National Magazine Award finalist. Sports runs in the family for Rushin. His father, Don, was a blocking back for the iconic Johnny Majors at Tennessee and his brother, Jim, helped Providence hockey reach the Frozen Four in 1983. He is married to Basketball Hall of Famer, Rebecca Lobo, and, together, they host a podcast titled, "Ball & Chain."
