Stanislas Wawrinka

Stanislas Wawrinka is a professional tennis player. At 15 years old, Wawrinka dropped out of regular school to focus on tennis full-time. He did continue his schooling, but by distance education. Wawrinka began playing international junior events at 14 years old. At 15, he entered the satellite circuit. In June 2003, Wawrinka reached No. 7 in the junior world rankings and he won the 2003 French Open Junior Championships. Wawrinka turned professional in 2002 when he was 17 years old. In October 2006, Wawrinka reached No. 26 in the world rankings. Wawrinka has recorded a total of 2 titles. In 2008, Wawrinka partnered with Roger Federer in the men’s doubles for the 2008 Olympics where the two of them brought home the gold medal. At the 2014 Australian Open, Wawrinka was victorious and the win allowed him to crack the Top 5 when he became world No. 3. Wawrinka’s sponsors have included Visilab, Fromm, Yonex, Subaru, Audi and Audemars Piguet.
