About Chris McKendry
Prior to joining ESPN in 1996, Chris McKendry held several jobs in the broadcasting industry including an update anchor for USA Network, producer for Fox News Service, and a sideline reporter TNT and TBS during the 96 NBA Playoffs. Later that year, McKendry anchored her first SportsCenter for ESPN before moving over to anchor the launch of the new ESPNEWS channel. She returned to anchor SportsCenter later in 1997 and still holds the position today as the co-anchor for the live broadcasts of SportsCenter from 12-3 PM on weekdays. Throughout her career with ESPN, McKendry has been a diverse report, covering all major sports as well as coverage of all major tennis tournaments, the Winter X-Games, the FIFA World Cup, and other major sporting events.
