Shawn Bradley Biography

Shawn Bradley is an NBA legend who towered at 7'6", making him one of the tallest players in league history. Bradley played 12 seasons, originally debuting with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1993. The Sixers selected him with the second overall pick in that year's NBA Draft after he starred at BYU. Bradley was named to the All-Rookie Second Team that first year. After playing parts of three seasons in Philly before being traded to the New Jersey Nets. Bradley then played the majority of his career with the Dallas Mavericks. He led the NBA during his first year with the franchise in 1997 and scored a career-high 14.6 points per game. Bradley also became well-known for his appearance in the 1996 feature-film hit, "Space Jam." He officially retired in 2005. He faced another challenge in 2021, suffering a severe spinal cord injury when a car hit his bike and left him paralyzed.
