About Antoine Walker
Antoine Walker was a three-time NBA All-Star, NBA champion with the Miami Heat in 2006, and a national champion at Kentucky in 1996. Walker gained great notoriety as a rookie in 1996-97 with the Boston Celtics when he led the team in scoring and rebounding on his way to All-Rookie first team honors. In addition to his time with the Celtics and Heat, Walker also played for the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He made six trips to the playoffs and helped establish the Celtics as postseason contenders again. Walker’s biggest battle came in his post-playing career. He had to declare bankruptcy in 2010, but announced he was debt free in 2013. He now hopes to educate other athletes about their finances and is in the process of releasing a documentary titled, “Gone In An Instant”. Walker is from Chicago, Illinois and starred at Mount Carmel High School with future NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb.
