About Seth Wescott
Seth Wescott grew up in Durham, North Carolina but began skiing and snowboarding at age 10 while going to school in Maine. After several years on the amateur snowboarding circuit he made his Olympic debut in 2006 at the Torino Olympic Games and won his first gold medal. Four years later he defended his title in Snowbard Cross by earning a second gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. In addition to his stellar Olympic performances he has also been a top Winter X-Games competitor, earning silver medals at the 2004, 2005 and 2010 Aspen X-Games and a bronze medal at the 2007 X-Games. Wescott’s other international Gold came at the 2005 Whistler FIS Snowboarding World Championships. He’s also won three silver medals at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships with those coming in 2003, 2007 and 2011. Wescott is the coowner of The Rock, a restaurant and bar near Sugarloaf that caters food and drinks to snowboarders and skiers.
