Sebastian Vollmer Biography

Sebastian Vollmer was born in Dusseldorf, Germany and helped his club team in Germany to a 25-0 record and two Junior Bowl wins. After a stellar performance at the 2004 Global Junior Championships he signed a scholarship with the University of Houston and became one of the best offensive lineman in the country, earning first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2008. In 2009 he joined the New England Patriots as a 2nd round pick and became one of the faces of their franchise. During his second season in the NFL he earned Second-Team All-Pro honors and was presented the Madden Most Valuable Protectors Award. The following season he helped the Patriots to an AFC Championship. In 2012 he signed a four-year, $27 million contract with the Patriots including $8.25 million in guaranteed cash. For the entirety of his career Vollmer was a staple for one of the most consistent and relentless offensive attacks in the NFL and helped his quarterback Tom Brady break several records in the process.
